DreamSetGo curates Maldives holidays for travellers from India: overwater villa stays, private seaplane transfers, reef diving and quiet sandbank days across the atolls.
The Maldives is not one experience but several, and the resort you pick shapes the whole trip. Here is how the stays and the days differ.

Wake up on stilts above the lagoon, with a ladder from your deck straight into the water. Villas at resorts such as Soneva, Six Senses and the St. Regis come with private pools, butler service and glass floor panels. This is the honeymoon and anniversary version of the trip.

The atolls sit on some of the richest reef systems in the Indian Ocean. Baa Atoll's Hanifaru Bay draws manta rays and whale sharks between May and November, and house reefs off most resorts let you snorkel straight off the beach. Dive centres run PADI courses for first timers and certified divers alike.

Most resorts sit an hour or more from Male, reached by a short seaplane flight over the atolls. The transfer becomes part of the holiday: low passes over turquoise lagoons and ring shaped reefs you only make sense of from the air. Speedboats cover the closer islands.
Fly low over the atolls on a Trans Maldivian seaplane, the arrival most guests remember first.
Step off your villa deck into water clear enough to count fish thirty feet down.
Time a Baa Atoll trip to the Hanifaru Bay season for manta and whale shark sightings.
Get dropped by boat at a bare sand island for a private lunch with nothing else in sight.
Take a massage in a glass floored spa with the reef moving below you.
Head out on a dhoni at dusk when spinner dolphins ride the bow waves.
When to go
The dry season runs December to April, with the least rain and the calmest seas. This is peak season and the priciest. May to November is wetter and cheaper, and it is also manta and whale shark season in Baa Atoll, so divers often prefer it.
Getting there from India
Male is a short hop: about 1.5 to 2 hours from South India and roughly 3.5 to 4 hours from Delhi and Mumbai, with direct flights on several carriers. Indian passport holders get a free visa on arrival valid for 30 days.
How long to stay
Five to seven nights suits most first trips. Couples often split nights across two resorts for variety; families tend to pick one island with a kids club and stay put.
Budgeting
The Maldives runs on a one island, one resort model, so your room rate covers a lot but extras add up. Half board or full board plans are usually worth it given the cost of boat and seaplane trips to other islands for meals.
Tell us your dates, budget and the kind of island you want, and our team will build the trip around it.
No. Indian passport holders receive a free visa on arrival valid for 30 days, as long as you carry a confirmed hotel booking and a return or onward ticket. There is no fee and no advance application.
December to April brings dry, sunny days and calm seas, which is why it is peak season and the most expensive. May to November is wetter and cheaper, and it is the best window for manta rays and whale sharks in Baa Atoll.
Resorts on nearer islands are reached by speedboat in about 20 to 60 minutes. Farther resorts use a seaplane, which operates only in daylight, so guests landing late at night sometimes stay over in Male and fly across the next morning.
Yes. Many islands run kids clubs, have shallow swimming lagoons and offer two bedroom family villas, and the short flight from India makes the trip manageable even with toddlers and younger children.
Five to seven nights suits most first visits. That gives you time to settle in, dive or snorkel the house reef, and take a sandbank picnic or a sunset cruise without feeling like you are rushing between activities.
